Hi, I'm Nick Sukosd, founder of Direct Design. At heart, I'm an artist who loves to build, create, and solve problems. For well over a decade, I've been designing websites, creating photography and video, building brands, and helping businesses turn ideas into something real.
I grew up in Columbiana County, Ohio, and my career has taken me down a lot of different paths. I've managed restaurants, owned a hobby game store, and for the past 15 years I've worked in operations for an industrial powder coating company, where I now lead a team of more than 60 people. Every role has taught me something different, but they've all reinforced the same lesson: successful businesses are built on trust, strong relationships, great leadership, and a commitment to doing quality work.
Somewhere along the way, I realized my favorite part of any business wasn't just running the day-to-day operations. It was helping it grow. I enjoy finding ways to improve processes, strengthen a company's image, attract new customers, and help business owners reach the next level. That's what eventually led me to start Direct Design.
Even though I have a full-time career, Direct Design has never been a side hobby. Helping small and medium-sized businesses grow online is something I genuinely love doing. There's nothing better than seeing a local business launch a new website, bring in new customers, or finally have an online presence they're proud of. That's what motivates me, and it's why I continue to invest my time into every project.
I started Direct Design because I saw too many small businesses priced out of professional websites and digital marketing.
I knew there had to be a better option. By keeping my business lean and working directly with every client, I can provide professional websites, photography, video content, and digital marketing without the agency overhead. You get personal service, honest pricing, and someone who's just as invested in your business as you are.
That's the same philosophy I bring to Direct Design. I combine creativity with real-world business experience to create professional websites, photography, and video content that not only look great but also help local businesses build trust, attract customers, and grow with confidence.
